Stop Erdogan’s Now (SEN) is an international  coalition of ordinary people and civil society organisations who are increasingly concerned about the threats to peace and security in Europe - as well as MENA and the Caucasus - posed by the aggressive actions of current Turkish president Recep Erdogan.

Erdogan has imposed Turkish troops in 13 countries: Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Cyprus, Iraq, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Qatar, Somalia, Sudan, and Syria. According to Amnesty International, Turkish troops have perpetrated “a shameful disregard for civilian life, carrying out serious violations and war crimes, including summary killings and unlawful attacks that have killed and injured civilians”. Turkey’s military interventions have caused and are causing enormous human suffering.

President Erdogan’s financially supports and nurtures terrorist organisations such as the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS, Hezbollah and Hamas. His active support of these terrorist organisations throughout Europe pushes an agenda inside EU countries to instrumentalise Europe's muslims. Erdogan’s aim is to leverage his power in Europe, threaten European leaders and challenge some of the basic principles of European society: secularism, peaceful community cohesion, and freedom of the press.

Erdogan’s aggressions have repeatedly been condemned by the European Parliament and the European Council, yet these aggressions still continue and increase. Enough is enough. SEA was established to press the European Union to take meaningful action before it is too late.

The European Union (Parliament and the Council) must unequivocally condemn Erdogan’s military incursions into neighbouring countries, his active support for Islamist terrorist organisations and his ambition to destabilise Europe. Therefore severe and significant sanctions should be imposed upon Erdogan’s Turkey without delay.
